Repair and Restoration:
PYY repairs boats of fiberglass or wood, and specializes in restoration and refinishing of fine wooden boats. We have restored many classic sailing yachts, such as Herreshoff 12 1/2 footers and Dark Harbor 20-footers. Motor vessel restorations include several classic Bunker and Ellis yachts, Bellatrix, Elysium, and Pemetic. Currently under total restoration is the 1954 Rockland Boat built cruiser Growler.
Refinishing:
We take pride in our fine quality finish work, which speaks for itself. Our crew of experienced yacht painters combines traditional techniques with modern materials - the boats look great and are well protected from the elements.
Mechanical and Technical Services:
We work on all marine engines. Our technicians are trained and certified by many leading manufacturers, including Mercruiser, OMC Stern Drive, and OMC, Marriner, Tohatsu, and Mercury outboards.
At PYY we will re-power any sailing or motor vessel with gasoline or diesel engines, attending to associated sytems (wiring, plumbing, shafts and props, thru-hull fittings, and safety equipment) as well.
We can equip vessels with state-of-the-art navigation and communications electronics, including GPS, chart plotters, radar, depth sounders, cellular phones, and vhf radio.
Hauling and Storage:
We can haul and launch boats up to 50 feet in length and up to 35 tons. A Brownell hydraulic trailer moves larger vessels, and a negative lift fork truck is used to haul and launch smaller boats.
Docks, Floats, and Moorings:
We can repair and rebuild existing docks or design and build them "from scratch." For new construction we can help obtain necessary permits, including municipal and DEP.
We set and maintain floats and inclines, and store them for the off-season.
Moorings are available for vessels up to 65 feet in length.
A wide range of specialized services is available. These include custom shaft and propeller work, engine rebuilding, sail making and repair, modern spray finishes, bronze castings, and yacht lettering.
Ship Chandlery and Fuel Dock
Our retail store stocks a wide range of marine products including parts, tools, paint and varnish, fastenings, rope, life preservers, accessories, and PYY tee-shirts, sweatshirts and hats.
The fuel dock supplies high-test (93 octane) gasoline, pre-mixed outboard gas, and diesel fuel.

We have become a dealer for Mercury Outboards and Mercruiser Inboards and Stern-drives. 2 mechanics have attended factory schools for both.
We are also now dealers for AB inflatable boats.
The office staff has been busy refining the ongoing computerization of PYY, which includes integrated production, accounting, and billing software over a local area network.
