The Pendleton 43 is custom new construction based on the timeless elegance of the original soft top picnic boats.
This is a wooden boat made to enjoy the best of summer days.
The hull is cold molded mahogany laminate. This type of hull is low maintenance, extremely rigid, receives fairing and finish like fiberglass on the exterior, is treated as a wooden hull (it is wood) on the interior, is insulated, and very important, can take advantage of modern sound damping technologies.
The undercarriage is hard chine deep "V" to modified "V", depending on the crusing requirements, with shallow centerline fin keel. The draft will be approximately 3' 2".
The trunk roof and side decks will be tradional laid teak or Dynell.
The cockpit sole will be laid teak over traditional oak frames.
The coaming, cabin sides, windshield, dash, rails and trim will be solid varnished mahogany. The layout will be custom. The fittings will be custom chromed.
The interior is to be painted with varnished mahogany trim. The layout for each boat will be custom. All options are available.
The degree of deadrise at the transom will be determined for each boat depending on needs. Single engine, twin engine, gasoline and diesel power are available.
